Calvary Christian Academy began in 1981 as school for church members using the self-paced ACE (Accelerated Christian Education) curriculum.  CBA was first located on San Antonio Street in New Braunfels, Texas.  In 1996, the school was moved to a temporary location in Schertz.  Since then, the church and school have been co-located at 177 West Klein Road in New Braunfels.

In 1998, the Lord blessed by providing over thirteen acres of property just outside of New Braunfels. 

In 1999, the church and school facilities moved to its present location on Klein road. 

In 2007, Calvary Baptist Church voted to expand its school by adopting the ABeka curriculum and start a Kindergarten.  The ABeka curriculum will allow the Academy to fulfill its vision to create Godly leaders and prepare students for higher education.

In 2008, Calvary Baptist Church purchased two modular buildings to accommodate the rapid growth of the school.
