"I was very pleased with the Kindergarten program, I think my child has grown academically because of the small classrooms as well as the one-on-one teaching."

A Day in Kindergarten

Students arrive in the classroom between 7:45 and 8:00 a.m.  We beginthe school day with pledges to the Bible, Christian and Americanflags.  Then we have prayer time and a Bible lesson.

Each morning we also do calendar activities such as reciting the months of the year and days of the week, the date, daily weather, alphabet and word review, counting activities, place value and money values.

We have reading, math and handwriting lessons each day.  We also have either a science or social studies lesson.  We use curriculum from ABeka.   Reading is phonics based.  Many lessons include hands on activities.  All of the subjects are integrated to provide a challenging and exciting beginning to a child’s education.

We have snack breaks daily.  At lunch time students can either pack a lunch or buy a hot lunch.  We have 30 minutes for lunch.  We have two restroom breaks, with a class bathroom also available at any time.  In addition to daily free play time at recess, students also have thirty minutes of physical education class every day. We have a quiet time each afternoon for naps.
